Page 1 of 2 "Come for the Race; Stay for the Party!" This year, the Annual Prescott YMCA Whiskey Row Marathon fell on May 5th, which meant—that in addition to running a challenging marathon, half marathon, 10K or 2 miles—runners, families and friends could stay throughout the day and enjoy Cinco de Mayo festivities downtown.
There was live music on Cortez Street from 10am-10pm, a food and beverage garden open to the public, Freedom Station jump house, face painting, airbrush tattoos, Folklorico dancers, tamales and beverages.
Check out the Whiskey Row Marathon page for details.
All proceeds from the race go to financial assistance programs at the Prescott YMCA. Children and families that cannot ordinarily afford to participate in our programs (i.e., swimming lessons, youth sports, gymnastics and child care) can join in the fun thanks to our scholarship program. Support the race, support kids in the community.
